Always a charismatic and entertaining player on the professional tournament scene, this former Magic: The Gathering professional player turned his sights on the poker world and hasn't looked back since. Taught the game by Erich Froelich (E-FRO), another Magic playing professional, Williams then found a mentor that could take his tournament abilities to the next level, "The Flying Dutchman," Marcel Luske.

Williams turned his poker lessons into big-time dollars when he finished second in the 2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event to Greg Raymer and took home $3.5 million. He then went on to finish second at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Borgata Poker Open just four months later and shortly thereafter David joined Team BoDog as a player representative.

Williams proved that his accomplishments were not a fluke when he made another WPT final table and went on to collect his first WSOP bracelet winning the $1,500 Seven Card Stud tournament. Williams has earned more than $5.4 million over the course of his career to date.
