Born in Tehran, Iran; Esfandiari, a former professional magician, has a knack for making his opponent’s chip stacks disappear. Now residing in Las Vegas, NV , and having collected over $3 million in career tournament earnings, Esfandiari is one of the few players in the game to win both a World Poker Tour (WPT) title and a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet.

2004 was a monstrous year for this superstar when he won the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em event at the WSOP and finished first at the WPT Los Angeles Poker Classic event. Esfandiari has also made two other WPT final table appearances and quickly parlayed his poker success into a player sponsorship deal with UltimateBet.com, as well as, a regular column in Bluff Magazine.

Easy to get along with and extremely outgoing, Esfandiari’s popularity continues to grow thanks to his appearing in the WPT video game, writing a WPT sponsored book, as well as an instructional poker DVD.

Although know primarily as a tournament player, Esfandiari has also successfully tested his cash game skills on the GSN series, High Stakes Poker.
