At just 21 years old, Dominik Nitsche has already made his way into the record books by becoming the youngest player to ever win an LAPT Main Event when he cashed for $381K in Mar del Plata, Argentina. In fact, with just over 3 years of live tournament experience under his belt, Dominik has already claimed close to 2 million in prize money including a huge 6-figure cash at the 2009 WPT Marrakech high roller event.
Now being of legal age to play in the United States, Dominik took his game to the WSOP for the first time in 2012 and made quite a splash. He recorded four cashes, saving his best for last. Dominik bested a massive field of 4,620 players en route to winning $654,797 and the coveted gold bracelet in event #59, $1,000 no limit hold ‘em.
Dominik got his start playing online and quickly began posting noticeable scores in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series. He’s had back to back final tables on Super Tuesday, and a first place win in a Full Tilt $200 re-buy for $42k. Because of his growing popularity in poker, Dominik has become a hot commodity in his home country and is in high demand with the German poker media. Expect to see a lot more greatness from this young man in years to come.
