Jean-Robert Bellande is a LA nightclub owner/promoter turned professional poker player.  He started playing poker in 2000 and quickly made a name for himself in the poker community. Among the poker community’s top pros, he is known as “Action Bob.” He is known for his incessant chatter at the table and loves putting his opponents on tilt.

In 2007 Bellande became one of the 16 contestants for the popular reality TV show, Survivor: China.  His strategy for the show was the same as the strategy he uses at the poker tables, evaluate his opponents and then plan his attack. He was the eighth contestant eliminated from the show.

Jean-Robert’s most notable public appearance came in 2005 at the final table of a World Series of Poker circuit event. He finished 3rd at that event. His table image landed him a spot at the World Poker Tour’s Bad Boys of Poker event, which included Gus Hansen, Tony G, Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow, and Men “The Master” Nguyen.
