It was Oscar Blanco’s capacity to pursue his objectives and fight for a dream that helped pioneer the game of poker in his home country of Spain. After becoming a professional poker player in 2004, Oscar founded the Poker Association of Madrid and with over 200 players, it’s become the first association to be acknowledged in Spain. He later founded a brick and mortar poker school where hundreds of students attend classes every day, including most of the players in the Spanish poker circuit.

Oscar’s knowledge of the game and aggressive play at the tables has helped him enjoy a very successful tournament record. With over $463,000 in tournament winnings, he is one of Spain’s most successful players in the high stakes Omaha Pot Limit and Texas Hold’em game on both the national and international level. Oscar has claimed four 1st place finishes in his young poker career, and is always a threat to his competitors when he sits down at the felt.
